*CONTEST OPEN WORLDWIDE!

WHY HELLO EVERYONE, so i have a question, whilst looking out from a balcony in an unnamed hotel in an unnamed city eating frosted flakes with glass bottle milk added, (it’s better that way, trust me on this) i began to think, WHERE do William and Shady live? Then that got me started on another thought, have you ever wondered where the mystical William & Shady live? That’s when it hit me. Im sure you guys must have some great ideas on the subject, sooooo, show me!

This is the first ever Sprousearts.com art competition!

Here are the rules:

Draw, Paint, scribble, scratch, or whatever other medium you would like to use, a design of where you think William and Shady live.

Then once made, post a link to the picture or pictures (the more angles and shots of the design the better) and an email address to contact you at in the “leave a reply” box below.

*OPEN TO ANYONE. IF YOU GOT INTERNET and ARE READING THIS. Do your best. You do not need to come to USA just post link. Again. Take a picture of your work and upload it to some site and post link. Please DO NOT DM (Direct Message) Just post info, writing  and links below. Best way to have your anything read and seen is by adding it to post below. Do not DM unless you are a store trying to carry William & Shady toy and products.


This competition will last until November 5 and after TEDIOUS DECISION MAKING, the winner shall receive a free signed William and Shady of their choice and an exclusive, signed, first ever print of my “Zombiechu” painting!

SO MAY THE GAMES BEGIN, and please, don’t let it get too bloody :O

  3. Unfortunately I don’t draw, so I’ll use my writing skill.

    I don’t quite know how this would ever come to fit in with the story line of what you’re doing, but this is just what I always pictured in my head. I imagined Shady, clung tightly to Williams back, so tight that it actually creates a bit of a hung for William. Then I see colorful signs, brightly lighting up city streets, and palm readers placed strategically on most corners. Like New Orleans. Where all the people stand out on the sidewalk drinking their Hurricanes, talking. The buildings are all compact in size, but in the front the windows are grand enough to cover one whole side of the building. Outside, William walks down the streets at night, passing these people having the time of their life. He’s got on this brown trench coat, unbuttoned; and it’s apparent that he’s “let himself go”. Not as clean cut as he used to be. He walks slowly by these buildings, briefly staring inside at the people playing pool and ordering drinks. Nearly all the buildings have balconies and the air always smells like Rum, hot sauce, and swamp water.

    Eventually, he returns back to his home. At one time, it was a beautiful classic home in the center of the city. Now, it’s a studio apartment above a liquor store. Across the street is a Tarot Reader. Every time William returns home, she sees him and shouts out strange and weary things. In some neurotic way she knows about Shady on his back, though William has never told her. Once he reaches home, William has to stumble up 5 flights of stairs to reach his daunting apartment. He doesn’t even really sleep anymore, he just sits on this brown leather couch that he’s got faced out his apartments window. He spends his days staring down at the people who make their way by as if they’re parading their livability; taunting him. He watches as the nights purple skies turn to a radiant cornflower blue in the morning; and with every minute that passes Shady just whispers things to him, like a ticking time bomb wired from his back to his brain.

    That’s what I see. If I didn’t really suck like hell at drawing, I’d of…somehow drew a picture of that.

  4. wow, is an amazing opportunity, but the truth is very difficult for me to paint like you or something. But it’s great that the winner takes it all, is grandly brilliant, haha and most importantly that we should not make that very bloody :O

    I felt really energetic and inspired today,
    so I let my thoughts flow and started to get millions of ideas.
    This was the perfect moment,
    so I immediately started drawing, painting & writing :)

    Hm..
    So this might be their mysterious place,

I have an idea of what it would likely look like where William & Shady live but don’t know if I’ll be able to put it in an art form. I haven’t done much in the way of art. Maybe I’ll give it a try.

    The idea behind my image is that William and Shady will live in a happy and colorful place.There should be happiness in between them,even if you can not always see it.

I thought he might still be living around the trees where he got bi, and his house isn’t very fancy. I think he probably comes out at night to avoid trouble. Not sure what he does when he’s walking around though. Enjoy.

  66. I know this has to do with race but I am already in. But with Dylan, I want to know if you really care about your fans, so I want you to actually read this. The rest of you may of course also read it here;) In this tutorial, I wrote 17 October 2010. I write for me.

    Felicia why do not you get a chance to become one? You say you will do everything for Dylan and Cole. If you do not start now you will not even have a chance! They do not want you as a friend if you are not famous for anything. They probably do not even notice you. You’re just an ordinary girl who likes what they do. Want to become one? Want to meet them? Maybe because I’m 14 years old and still can not move until about 4 years! And right now it’s hopeless …

  78. My style is much different than other people that i saw. I don’t do comic art, i do fantasy and portraits. This is my 1st attempt at a landscape to this degree!!!It’s done in watercolor, acrylic and touches of watercolor pencil on 6x9in watercolor paper!!! Sorry but i must put my watermark on it!!!!     I will unfortunately not be able to put an end to this mystery though. I don’t know where William and Shady live. My theory is that they’re not residents, but constantly on the run, looking for the perfect place to settle down in. Basically, they could be anywhere in the world, you never know where you might bump into them. So I suppose the mystery will remain a mystery. :o

    FIRST ONE is how i think their house looks OUT:
    So i think that, persons like William and Shady are living NOT far away from people, so in my opinion they are living in USUAL flat, in USUAL town, in USUAL country and their house located in the wall, like Winslow’s house from Catdog.:)

  97. I spent 2 days on this. At first i used water color but failed then i turned pencil and it’s work..wooohooo
    The place where William and Shady live – when i saw this just 2 words appeared in my mind: Mystery forever. Look at their figure, their place might have an extremely exotic appearance just like them. It reminds me of vaporous planet – where we human always think it isn’t possible to exist, but yes it is, that’s why it’s mystical.

  109. In my head i have an idea of what William and Shady’s world would be like.

    Picture this!

    A world from beyond earth, the milky way, THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. A world that exists in some parallel universe if you will :] Everything is opposite. Everything is upside down. All the creatures are unique and different. They can walk on the clouds and hang from the trees.

    I did it with graphite pencil :P i wanted to give them color, but i decided to leave it black and white!

    Theirs alot better ones than mine, but i gave it my best shotttttt :D
