Process 002: It’s @SprouseArts submission for @yogabbagabba groupshow at @MeltdownComics

Here it is redrawn on canvas, as you might have noticed it’s a little cleaner, and i made Dj Lance a bit bigger to shed light on his creepiness :)


Below is the painting after starting the outline, I personally like to start with one color and use it until I’ve painted all the places i need that color it, in this case, I started with black to emphasize his glasses and some details on the Gabba crew. Currently I’m starting to paint his undertone for Lance’s skin

  5. Ahhh, looks much better on my laptop than it did on my iphone at 5 AM this morning.Those teeth and eyes are coming a long great! I like process pics and do them for all my own drawings not only because its just interesting to follow an idea from start to finish, but i also learn from them by seeing where i made a mistake, or did something that id like to do again. Keep posting, and its great to see something new!

  7. I totally agree with Sky. The darker glasses make him look too ‘polite’. But maby, (depending on the colors chosen for the rest of the drawing) the politeness will disappear. I Like it!

    Btw, i love the ‘..% off sale’ mark on his hair :-) it makes it cartoonish. Love it!
